Terms4Less Privacy Policy

Introduction

Terms4Less.com provides you with insurance related tools and information to help you shop online for insurance products. Most of this information is available to you without the need to disclose any personally identifiable information. If you decide to request a quote for life insurance, we will ask you for minimal personal information to help us display the best possible insurance rates and carriers. If you select an insurance carrier and request an application, we will ask you for additional information needed to initiate the process online.

Committed to Protecting Your Privacy

Terms4Less is committed to protecting your privacy. Our commitment to you starts with this Privacy Policy.

Information Collected on this Site:

In order to receive a life insurance quote, you must first complete the form. At this time, you are required to give contact information (such as name, phone number, and email address). We use this information to contact you about the services on our site in which you have expressed interest.
You have the option to provide personal demographic and health information to complete the application request.

When do you send my information to an insurance company?

Terms4Less.com will only send your personal information to insurance companies when you choose to complete an application for coverage with one of our Case Managers or ask us to seek a preliminary opinion from an insurance carrier regarding your potential insurability or lack thereof.

How does Terms4Less.com use my information?

Terms4Less.com uses your personal information to prepare an insurance quote for you. When you request a quote from us you are explicitly opting in and allowing us to share aggregated statistical information about the use of the Terms4Less.com web site with third parties. In this case, individual users’ personal information will not be identified.

Legal Disclaimer

We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our Web site.

If you respond or post a comment on the Terms4Less.com blog or other public forums on this Web site, you should be aware that any personally identifiable information you submit there can be read, collected, or used by other users of these forums, and could be used to send you unsolicited messages. We are not responsible for the personally identifiable information you choose to submit in these forums. We also have reviews on our site, for which users have given us permission to post their personal information.

After I request quotes at Terms4Less.com, who will contact me?

You will be contacted by a licensed agent to confirm the information you provided to us on your quote request form. This may be done through one or more of many communication channels (telephone, fax or email). Once we have adequate information to provide you with a reasonably accurate quote, we will prepare it for you and you will receive it by fax, mail, phone, or email. You will be assigned one case manager that will be your contact point throughout the process.

Will you contact me if I’m on the National Do Not Call Registry?

We do not wish to make contact with individuals or companies that are not interested in receiving information or entertaining the possibility of obtaining insurance through our firm. When you fill out our quote request form you are explicitly initiating a relationship with us, inviting and consenting to the receipt of information (which may be provided to you online, by fax, phone, email, US Mail, etc.) and, as such, are waiving any right (including claims under the Telemarketing Sales Rule) extending in perpetuity to claim that we contacted you without your express consent.

What is your policy on spamming?

Spam or UCE, Unsolicited Commercial E-mail, is the Internet version of “Junk mail.” It is an attempt to deliver a message to someone who would not otherwise choose to receive it. Potential target lists for spamming are created by scanning Usenet postings, stealing Internet mailing lists, or searching the Web for addresses. Such information is gathered with automated searches to retrieve e-mail addresses for spamming.

Terms4Less.com does not spam, ever. We also do not share your information with any 3rd party except when you decide to apply for insurance and only for that purpose. If you received a mailing from us, (a) your email address is either listed with us as someone who expressly shared this address for the purpose of receiving information in the future (“opt-in”), or (b) you have registered or purchased or otherwise have an existing relationship with us. By requesting information from us or receiving an online quote, which may require future contact, you have agreed to opt-in to receiving our information. We respect your time and attention by controlling the frequency of our mailings.

Security

The security of your personal information is of utmost importance to us. When you enter sensitive information (such as a social security number) on any application forms, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL).

We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
